Shailene Woodley is an American actress and activist. She became popular with her character Alexandra "Alex" King, the teen who is struggling with addiction issues in The Descendants. After her stellar performance in The Descendants she went on to perform several other parts that demonstrated her versatility. Shailene gained a prominent spot very early in her film career. That's a remarkable achievement. The path she took began with commercials and TV shows and then she shifted into Hollywood films. She won a number of prizes for her outstanding acting abilities, among them the MTV Movie Awards.
