Singer was born on the 26th of November 1986, in Santa Monica California United States of America. She is the child of her dad Vincenzo and her maternal grandmother Valerie Barba. The family relocated from Point Pleasant in New Jersey at the age of 6. She finished her secondary schooling in New Jersey at Red Bank Catholic High School. She graduated from Catholic University in New Jersey with a Bachelor's Degree. When she was 4, she began to play the violin. She earned the name Violin Girl. The name she was given by her nickname due to her performance. She also taught kids from the area on how to play the violin. Later at the age of 19 she was a contestant on the sixth season of American Idol and sang the 1976 single Free. However, she was eliminated from the competition after she reached 16th place. The singer has performed a variety of songs, including 'The Christmas Song 2009' and 'Out for Blood'. The singer has also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, as well as other TV shows.
