Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American stage actress and producer, is well-known for her role in the feature film Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She received an B.A. with a major in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress and producer, who has been active in films theater and on television. Her career began as a theater actress and then appeared in numerous television series and independent and mainstream films. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she received critical acclaim and various awards and nominations, among them the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. She started her career as an actor in the year 1995 when she played Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. On Broadway she's appeared in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. The most recognizable part of her career is her roles in the films Men of Honor as well as The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. In television, her role in the ABC's crime drama High Incident is well known.
