Stevie Wonder

Stevie WonderStevland Morris (ne Judkins, May 13, 1950) popularly referred to as Stevie Wonder is an American artist and singer. It is said that he is recognized as the first to pioneer a wide range of musical genres such as soul, rhythm and blues as well as gospel, jazz soul gospel and funk. Stevie Wonder's use of synthesizers and other electronic instruments created R&B an all-female show. He also helped drive such genres into the album era making his albums coherent and consistent in addition to thematically conscious and complex compositions. Wonder, who was born blind shortly after his birth was signed at Motown's Tamla label aged 11. In the Tamla label, he was awarded the official title Little Stevie Wonder. Wonder's popularity with critics was at its peak in the 1970s. His "classic period" began in 1972 with the releases of Music of My Mind and Talking Book, the latter featuring "Superstition" that is among the most unique and famous examples of the sound produced by the Hohner Clavinet keyboard. His work Innervisions (1973), Fulfillingness the First Finale (1974) and Songs in the Key of Life (1976) all received the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, making him the tied-record holder for the most Album of the Year wins, with three. Wonder is the only artist to win the award with three consecutive albums. Wonder was an "commercial artist" when he began to have his greatest hits in the late 1980s. The popularity of his music grew due to an increase in album sales, involvement in charities, and prominent collaborations.
